Responsible for expanding the provision of patient care to affiliated health care institutions as well as non-institutional settings by utilizing innovative telecommunication technologies to enhance access to patient care and proactively manage health condition. Systems may include but not limited to, enterprise voice and video solutions, virtual care platforms, patient and provider facing technologies, remote patient monitoring, voice assistant and dictation solutions, and other emerging technologies. ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS * Coordinate and champion awareness with all aspects of facility virtual care use * Develop policies and protocols for delivery of virtual care services along with voice and video platforms. * Provide education and training to all facility staff impacted by program and technology changes * Responsible for pilot testing and implementing new long-distance care models * Multi-site coordination and problem resolution. * Establish guiding processes, principles and policies for the development and implementation of patient and family centric virtual care programs at the facility, and for the operation, management and oversight of virtual care initiatives. * Responsible for the vendor selection process and ongoing vendor management * Provide recommendations for emerging technology integrations aligned with consumer-based trends such as voice and video solutions, wearable devices, mHealth, AI/ML, etc. * Work collaboratively with Information Technology operations team, network and enterprise leaders and staff to incorporate new concepts and programs into existing systems * Collaborate with leadership, actively participate and develop, refine, implement and evaluate a comprehensive strategic plan for virtual care programming and consumer centric emerging technology. * Provide oversight and guidance to assure that all video technologies selected for use in virtual care programs comply with the requirements of the Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other relevant MFB directives and guidance. * Monitor the quality, safety, efficiency, utilization and effectiveness of virtual care along with voice and video mechanisms. * Provide insight and implementation of quality metrics for virtual care and prepare reporting as directed by leadership. * In coordination with leadership, provide guidance on annual budget for virtual care technologies. * Serve and /or represent the facility on various Network Telehealth groups and maintains linkages and effective communications with national and other training centers. * Performs other related duties as assigned. * Physical Demands - Able to exert up to 35 pounds of force occasionally (up to 1/3 of the time); to lift, carry, push, pull, up to 35 pounds occasionally; to sit for the majority (1/3 - 2/3) of the time, but may involve brief periods of time involving walking or standing; to use keyboard frequently (1/3 to 2/3 of the time).
