HelpDesk Level 1 Support Specialist
The Level 1 Help Desk support will be the first line of communication for technical issues within the organization. This position will work closely with the team on supporting end users' issues and requests.
Duties and responsibilities
First line of communication for technical issues within the organization.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Monitor new tickets queue for new tickets - work tickets based on priority.
Provide friendly telephone, remote & on-site troubleshooting, training and technical support to end users.
Respond to all emails & voicemails in a timely manner (within 1 business day.)
Maintain accurate documentation.
Provide afterhours coverage as part of an on-call rotation schedule.
Adhere to established methods & procedures for responding to and documenting support requests.
Perform maintenance tasks on end user devices.
Set up & Configure PCs, printers, peripherals & network equipment as needed.
Handle technical requests such as password resets, drive mapping and user accounts setup.
Attempt to resolve end user problems by providing them with self-fix guidance.
Work as part of a team to deliver the best possible service to the company & it's vendors.
Up to 30% travel as needed.
Minimum of 1 year of customer service roll
Experience working with Apple products
Experience working with Window Operating Systems
Experience at Microsoft Office Suite. (Word, Office, PowerPoint, Excel).
Strong oral & written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task & prioritize.
Organized & detailed oriented
Ability to work independently as well as a team environment.
Good problem solving & relationship building skills.
Knowledge and/or certifications in the following areas:
A+, Net+, Sec+,
Provide a 1440 experience while on and off the job
Employee may be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis or do repetitive tasks with few breaks. The position requires the ability to perform walk-throughs of construction sites which may involve uneven ground and using ladders/ stairs. Work at times may require accessing small spaces such as above-ceiling spaces, under cabinets/ counters or other technical spaces.
May include up to 30% travel. This includes driving & flying as required to complete site visits.
