The Western UP Planning & Development Region (WUPPDR) is looking for a motivated candidate to fill this paid, part-time, flexible schedule, internship position. The intern will assist in developing a Coronavirus Pandemic Response and Resiliency Plan. As an outcome of the plan, the intern may also assist with projects to recover from impacts of the Pandemic and capitalize on new opportunities.
For 50 years, WUPPDR has provided technical assistance to over 70 units of government in the six counties of the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan for purposes of community and economic development. Services we offer include but are not necessarily limited to:
- Public Engagement
- Master Planning
- Strategic Planning
- Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Support
- Process Development
Hazard Mitigation and Pandemic Response and Resiliency Plan Internship

The Pandemic Response and Resiliency Plan (PRRP) is an activity funded by the Economic DevelopmentAdministration that will serve as an annex to the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). Main initial goals for the plan are to identify current and expected economic impacts of the pandemic, and identify priority actions and projects for the PRRP initiative.
