Heritage Homes provides support to adults that have developmental disabilities in a residential environment. We go out of our way to give the residents in our homes the best care every day. So, when you join us, you’ll be looking after the day-to-day personal needs of residents while getting to know them individually – their life experiences, interests, what makes them smile.
The range of support that Direct Support Professionals provide to the clients includes:
. Meeting their high sensory needs
. Assisting with personal care and hygiene
. Assisting with medication administration
. Monitoring health and ensuring safety
. Providing transportation
. Supporting involvement in community and in-home activities
Other tasks include a full range of household duties such as meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, etc. Staff will follow Community Mental Health Plans of Service and OT/PT plans.
Currently, we have a FULL TIME or PART TIME 1st, 2nd, and 3rd SHIFT positions available. Must be able to work every other weekend. No experience is necessary. We provide paid training.
Starting rate of pay at this facility is $11.15 per hour (PLUS $2/Hr Hazard Pay thru September 2020). (Higher rate of pay possible with specific experience.)
For Full Time Staff: Medical Insurance - 14 Day Wait Period! Other benefits include dental and vision insurance; life insurance and short term disability.
Full time and regular part time staff accrue vacation, sick and personal time.

. Be over the age of 18 years
. Have a valid Michigan driver’s license with a good driving record
. Must be able to successfully pass a background check (fingerprinting), physical, drug screen, and TB test
. Have a high school diploma or GED (at minimum)
. Must be able to lift
. Must have sufficient visual and auditory acuity with or without corrective lenses/aids to observe clients and detect signs of changes in client behavior, adverse medication reactions, or other activity or event requiring intervention.
