The Role
This position will be the Key Account's Global Lead, Expert and Master Trainer for specialized product and application related firmware, software and hardware developed and implemented according to the needs of the Global Key Account customer.
This position will "dotted line" report to the Global Key Account Manager (GKAM)
This position will have Regional Key Account support team members in the Service organization of all CC's supporting a Key Account facility as well as in every APC who will be assigned to be trained and to be led by the GKAE.
Job Mission:
The Global Key Account Engineer (GKAE) will assure the Regional Key Account's IT and service team members are capable of implementing, troubleshooting and/or, repairing the specialized product and application related firmware, software and hardware developed for the Global Key Account. The GKAE will lead efforts and coordinate the regional team members in satisfactorily resolving issues pertaining to the above products. The GKAE will act as the Global Key Account's technical leader and advisor to the Product Company for product related issues and needed improvements.
What We Expect of You?
University or Advanced technical degree required
Engineering degree preferred
Minimum 5 years' experience with Atlas Copco equipment and software products in a manufacturing environment
Ability to demonstrate and train customers on Atlas Copco equipment
Experience servicing fastening tools, knowledge of torque theory and fastening
IT experience with ability to install and troubleshoot software, SQL, networks and databases preferred
Maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and passport
Participation in flexible working hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
Superior customer experience and continuous learning
Key areas of focus:
Documentation
Develop standards for product implementation and troubleshooting.
Review and approve technical / support content in Ford PTO proposals prior to submission.
Create training material, certification tests, standards for global distribution
Create and maintain the global Ford PTO installation documentation including the content, licensing and software / firmware revision levels of all products used at each facility.
Create and maintain the global list of all personnel responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the specialized products in Service and APC.
Work with GKAM to collect and disseminate Global Key Account standards / best practices / lessons-learned / changes / questions (ie Blog)
Initial team structuring, training and set-up will require extensive regional and international travel, which should reduce significantly. On-going travel should be provided only as needed to assure regional capability.
Communication
Lead efforts with the customer in conjunction with input from the GKAM, APC leads, Product Company leads and local team members to streamline problem-solving processes.
Work with Sales team to help generate Service and IT contracts with Ford management.
Work with GKAM to organize regular meetings to share / exchange experience issues, next steps, roll-outs
Participate with GKAM in technical product meetings with Ford PTO and/or IT headquarters.
Conduct or delegate within the Service team any on-site or remote technical product testing as coordinated by the GKAM
International travel and multi-cultural communications

Software
Assist the Product Company and Key Account in determining product s/w and firmware needs and testing those updates to specialized products as authorized by the GKAM.
Perform or assist the APC's and Service Centers in installations of specialized products (ie QWX Exporter, WorldFORD) in regions that lack local expertise.
Assist APC lead PM in the internal turnover of IT solution projects to assure correctness of plant content and s/w status and technical information.
Hardware
The GKAE will act as the primary point of contact for local, regional and global key account technical support issues on the specialized products, firmware and software in the event the regional and local support teams cannot resolve.
Work with regional Service Technicians and regional APC technicians supporting the Key Account's specialized products to assure operational knowledge development.
Coordinate all on-site launch support and warranty assistance as needed.
