This is a part-time position working 20 hours a week.
Responsible for providing dietary and housekeeping support to terminally ill patients and their families in the hospice residence, in accord with Hospice Patient Care Plans. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Cooks meals in quantities according to menu, standardized recipes, and patient census, within health code, and ensures all food is maintained at appropriate temperature per regulations and ensures utmost quality with a minimum of waste.
Operates various kitchen equipment including, but not limited to, steamer, coffee pot, ovens, dishwasher, etc., According to manufacturer's guidelines and appropriate rules and regulations.
Follows proper procedure for labeling and storage of refrigerated and frozen food.
Cleans and maintains serving areas, equipment and utensils according to health code.
Performing a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; must possess finger dexterity and be able grasp, touch or feel and perform data entry as necessary; must be able to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions and outside weather conditions
The employee is exposed, by use, to various cleaning chemicals, wood and metal polishes, fumes, and dust.
