At Adult Learning Systems-UP we take the health and safety of our residents and staff very seriously. Since the start of COVID-19 our organization has implanted many changes to protect our residents and staff. All required (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment is readily available for all staff working in our group homes. Ideal direct care worker candidates will possess a strong desire to help others and make a difference in the lives of people who cannot adequately speak for themselves. You will be a companion and advocate for individuals with developmental and or physical disabilities. There are typically 2 or 3 staff per shift to work with 6 individuals who reside there. Duties include, but are not limited to, cooking, cleaning, socializing, taking people to dances, activities, etc. It is a fun and rewarding career. Direct Care Workers have the flexibility to schedule around college classes so you can earn a degree while working in the field of healthcare!
