Job Duties: Apply advanced mathematical and analytical methods to deconstruct complex challenges and provide evidence- and data-based solutions. Employ quantitative and data analysis to solve problems and provide recommendations to decision-makers. Observe current system in operation and gather and analyze information to define problem. Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems. Study and analyze information about alternative courses of action to devise optimal plan. Develop/apply time and cost networks to plan, control, and review large projects. Perform business process modeling, business rules analysis, data modeling, scenarios and use cases, user stories, prototypes, process modeling, and structured analysis. Apply Functional Decomposition technique to high-level and low level functional requirements. Specify manipulative and computational methods to be applied to models. Define data requirements and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests. Validate, test, and fine-tune models to ensure accuracy and suitability. Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions. Provide ongoing oversight and collaboration during implementation to ensure successful completion of project. Prepare manuals and train workers. Design, evaluate, recommend, and approve changes of forms and reports. Document system requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Managing Information Technology, CIS, or similar quantitative field plus five years’ progressive experience in job or five years’ progressive experience as Business Analyst with experience in sophisticated computer software, including databases and statistical packages, to analyze and solve problems. Required skills: Successfully employ sophisticated computer software (databases and statistical packages) to analyze and solve problems; Demonstrated ability to use statistical software to simulate current and future events & evaluate alternative courses of action; Oracle/SQL, SQL Developer, PLSQL, R, SAS, Microsoft Access/Visio, JIRA, Informatica B2B, Informatica Power Center, Toad, Facets, Cognizant Elements Suite, Unix, and shell scripts, Tableau, Apex, Business Objects, Hyland-OnBase, Wiki and Splunk; Agile and waterfall methodologies, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint.
