The Sales Account Manager will market the full line of Hamsar products and services to current and prospective customers that fit our strategic direction. The role builds customer relationships by utilizing outstanding service skills and proactive sales techniques. The primary function of the position is to develop, maintain and grow both new and existing accounts with a focus on revenue growth. The role also includes prospecting and generation of new business opportunities in order to meet (or exceed) sales goals. This role reports to the Manager of Sales & Marketing.
This position will be concerned with short term sales activity as well as developing and implementing a longer-term strategy to ensure Hamsar will retain and continue to secure future business.
•Provide existing account coverage, actively identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts
•Actively identify new customers and sales opportunities
•Build and establish customer relationships with key decision makers in all departments Have as much customer interface as possible
•Actively manage call schedule to cover assigned territory/account base in a time efficient manner
•Responsible to prepare comprehensive proposals
•Prospect both new and existing customers cross-selling Methode Electronics products and capabilities
•Update and maintain CRM by tracking and documenting customer communications and specifications
•Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products, new technology, competitors activities and market conditions and share with team
•Goal oriented to achieve targets, self-motivated, persistent and determined
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Proficient with Office program (powerpoint, outlook, excel, word, etc)
•Salesforce experience a plus
•Bachelors degree or extensive Sales & Marketing experience could be considered
•5+ years of strategic experience in B2B sales environment, selling into Industrial/OEM markets preferred
•Experience in short and long sales cycles
•Strong technical background in lighting/electronics preferred
•Travel 50%, positions can be remote
