About this Opportunity
As a Business Systems Analyst - Industrial Engineering, you'll apply Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and/or CPQ planning software to maintain and develop business practices in accordance with the Herman Miller vision. You will focus on accurate systems data and provide systems support, diagnosis, and resolution for end users. You'll participate in development initiatives and create and maintain process documentation (databases, work instructions, etc). You'll also serve as a business partner within Herman Miller entities to ensure accurate corporate solutions.
What You'll Do
You'll have opportunities to speak up, solve problems, lead others, and be an owner every day as you... * Manage user expectations, set appropriate priorities, and resolve schedules and resource conflicts to complete tasks within time estimates. * Direct outside consultants as needed to ensure developed applications meet Herman Miller standards. * Manage the data archiving process within your assigned area. * Participate in the analysis, development, testing, and documentation of new and existing functionality. * Participate in focus teams to resolve issues or implement new functionality. * Partner with Herman Miller IT as an area "owner" of functional LES, ERP, or CPQ software programs and processes. * Mentor and routinely train users. * Provide project management support. * Provide solutions designed to enhance and ensure service and dependability, contribute positively to corporate EVA, and provide equitable solutions for business partners. * Work with business partners to support, develop, and implement technology systems and processes in support of the business. * Design, develop, implement, and test Manufacturing System and Integration solutions. * Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance deployed Manufacturing Systems and Integration solutions across multiple manufacturing sites. * Implement systems to suit changes in the Herman Miller production environment. * Establish best practices for Herman Miller Industrial Engineering in the CPQ environment. * Maintain and improve standard routings to better support both operations and finance. * Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

You might be just who were looking for if you have... * A Bachelor's degree in Business Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a related field (preferred). * Five years of hands-on experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. * Completed specialized LES, ERP, or Infor training classes, with a proven ability to apply learning. * A working knowledge and understanding of ERP or Infor systems and related tools, typically acquired through a minimum of two years of experience working with the system. * Familiarity with and ability to utilize report writers and other system software packages. * The ability to communicate information clearly to user and systems personnel. * An understanding of total IT responsibility and requirements within your functional area. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * The ability to understand, support, and follow Herman Miller Performance System (HMPS) concepts and initiatives. * A strong understanding of manufacturing, scheduling, purchasing, and engineering systems and practices. * The ability to work under minimal direct supervision with excellent communication and leadership skills to influence decision making without direct authority. * The ability to use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used in the Herman Miller office environment. * An understanding of Bills of Material (BOM), industrial engineering, and manufacturing processes. * A working knowledge of SQL. * An understanding of BOM codes such as inventory codes, P/C codes, unit of measure, etc. * The ability to understand, support, and follow Lean concepts and initiatives. * The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
