The Product Development Engineer will develop and execute strategic new business initiatives. Leveraging Plascore's capabilities and reputation as a leading innovator in composite materials this position will be responsible for the successful development of the next new product within our business units.
You will have the opportunity to:
•Identify innovative new composite product opportunities.
•Effectively communicate and coordinate between process engineering, quality and manufacturing departments.
•Working with the sales team to support new market initiatives.
•Identify, build and test products/components to ensure suitability for select applications.
•Determine and document manufacturing methods for new products.
•Provide technical support for department
The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Material Science or an engineering technical field and proven experience and proficiency with the following skills:
•5-7 years' experience in new product development in the composite industry
•Must be able to work well independently and be self-directed
•Excellent written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•Solid math and analytical skills
•Experience supporting ISO9100, AS9100 and ISO14001
•Knowledge of properties of composite materials and strength of materials.
Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations). Therefore, candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or a U.S. Permanent Resident ("Green Card").
