The schedule position will be 2- 9 hour days, with alternating 4 hours every other Friday
Must be computer literate with good keyboarding skills. Under minimal supervision and with accuracy, performs scheduling for a series of patient appointments for numerous clinicians. Performs registration functions in the hospital information system. Supports Rehab Patient Account Specialist staff with the intake process for new referrals as necessary. Manages the phone and fax systems efficiently and demonstrates the ability to multi-task effectively in a busy office setting. Ensures excellent customer service to internal and external customers. Performs clinic duties as required according to department guidelines.
Minimum Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Education: Medical terminology.
Preferred Experience: Prior patient scheduling in a physician or hospital office experience preferred.
Physical Requirements: Lift 10 lbs. box overhead. Lift and carry 15 lbs. Push/pull 20 lbs. cart. Occasional standing, walking. Occasional twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling. Continuous sitting. Continuous keyboard use. Continuous talking, hearing.
Other Requirements: Excellent communication and customer service skills. Excellent telephone etiquette skills. Microsoft Office skills. Ability to travel between Rehab clinics. Proven ability to multi-task. Scheduling software experience.
