The General Assembly Tooling and Launch Supervisor will be responsible for supervising Tooling Engineers in the development of process and tooling within General Assembly (Trim, Chassis and Final) from vehicle design concept through in-plant vehicle launch. This position will make/champion data driven decisions and will manage complex projects from beginning to end, while meeting project budget and timing targets. An ideal candidate manages issues and drives root cause analysis, utilizing tools such as Fishbone Diagrams, Kaizen Methodology, FMEAs, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Six Sigma and Red X. The person in this role will drive design for manufacturing concepts throughout all projects (large or small) as well as work to develop a solid team atmosphere empowering their direct reports to take ownership of their processes. The Supervisor communicates effectively with all levels of management and is available to travel in support of FCA North America plants.
•5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering related experience
•Experience in a supervisor, manager and/or team leadership role
•Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project
•Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
•Tooling design, build and launch experience
•Knowledge of GD & T
•Statistical analysis experience
•Knowledge of Teamcenter
•PMP certification a plus
