FCA is required to document and disclose all features incorporated as Auxiliary Emissions Control Devices (AECD), and Auxiliary Emission Systems / Base Emission Systems (AES/BES) to the appropriate regulatory agencies. This Auxiliary Emissions Control Device Technical Fellow engineering position within the Emissions Certification Group of Vehicle Safety and Regulatory Compliance organization will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing the documentation of AECD’s to support emissions certification compliance and working with powertrain hardware, controls, and calibration engineers to collect and report required data necessary for NAFTA and non-NAFTA agency certification.
•Bachelor of Science in a Science, Computer, Engineering or related field from an accredited university
•Minimum 8 years of vehicle emissions, OBD or emission control system development calibration experience
•Must have strong computer skills, strong communication (written and verbal) skills, and willing behavior of adherence to processes
•Detail oriented / good people skills / self-starter/direction
•Master’s degree in a Science, Computer, Engineering or related field
•Knowledge of regulatory emissions compliance, testing and certification processes/procedures
•Experience with emission controls and calibration development
•Comfortable working with government employees and other automotive OEM personnel during collaboration meetings
