Qualifications: 2 years food experience within a large volume kitchen setting preferred

Health: The Lead Cook must be in such physical and mental health to efficiently complete all aspects and duties of the position and not negatively affect the health of the consumer or the quality of his/her care. This shall involve lifting (over 50 lbs.), bending, stooping, kneeling, standing on a regular basis.
? Knowledge: The Lead Cook shall have sufficient knowledge to solve unusual as well as commonplace problems. Advanced knowledge of nutritional values, special diet preparations and food exchanges.
? Supervision: The Lead Cook shall be supervised by the River Bend 2 Supervisor.
? Skills: The Lead Cook shall have advanced skills in food preparation, handling of kitchen equipment, general leadership skills and working with the targeted population, and health and safety regulations for food handling/preparation.
? Performance Standards: This position shall adhere to an acceptable code of ethics; maintain consumer/employee confidentiality, effective teamwork, courteous professional interactions with residents, guests, and co-workers.
