Summer 2023 Internship
A day in the life of a Supply Chain Inventory Services Intern, a hybrid role at SpartanNash, is never the same. In this role, you will gain experience across many functions of the company.
What You'll Do
* Configure and analyze reporting and data to alleviate issues at DC level that impact buyers, vendors, and SpartanNash's KPIS.
* Analyze top 20 vendors with OS&D claims and work with internal, vendor/brokers, carriers to attempt to lower % of PO's with OS&Ds
* Responsible for compliance reporting, and vendor communication.
* Work with internal teams identifying opportunities for process improvement on OS&D, Receiving, Disposition and Identification of unproductive inventory
* Meet with Merchandisers, Buyers, Vendors and Brokers to discuss inventory, scorecards, guaranteed minimum dating/shelf lives, OS&D Practices & Continuous improvement on compliance to SPTN policy.
Responsible to complete or participate in at least one strategic project during the internship and give a short presentation to the executive team that showcases the project

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
GPA of 3.0 (Preferred)
Some College Degree (Required to be an active student going into the summer). Preferred degrees are supply chain, business management, and accounting
Computer proficiency
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Good organizational, prioritization anddetail-orientedskills.
Ability to take initiatives and seek opportunities to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Live near Byron Center, Michigan to work in office occasionally as this is a hybrid role (team only reports to the office on Wednesdays)
