A Property Specialist, under general direction and review, serves to inspect all leased group homes in a four county area to ensure that licensing codes are met and inspect preventive maintenance schedules to ensure that work is being performed. A Property Specialist is also responsible for visualizing inspections and writing specifications for maintenance or renovation projects, reviewing and evaluating all clinical request forms for facility changes and renovations and compliance with licensing regulations. An employee in this class coordinates annual site visits by licensing and evaluation teams from State agencies, assists surveyors and secures the required documentation regarding facility issues, receives and evaluates all licensing and certification reports from State agencies. The Property Specialist maintains the agency car fleet, secures and processes bids for some facility maintenance and renovation projects and performing related work as required.
