As a Principal Architect you provide thought leadership in technology transformation to our clients and our team while aligning technical strategies and solutions (how and where technology runs) with core business initiatives and processes to better leverage resources in achieving quantifiably tangible results. In this role, you’ll work on a team of customer-focused professionals who are committed to defining technical strategy, architecting, designing, and delivering customized, end-to-end digital transformation. You excel at building technical and business relationships with clients and can identify the core business problems organizations are trying to solve and connect and articulate technology with measurable business value. You will serve as a visionary and strategist for our clients and our internal consulting teams.

What you'll accomplish:
Strategic Consulting
- Act as a consultative strategist to various customers CIO, CTO, VP of Infrastructure, and other key business leaders.
- Be the trusted solution advisor to prospective clients, responsible for shaping the discussion around business challenges, defining, and presenting the optimal solution working together with domain principals, solution architects, and business line leaders.
- Provide consultative support of related opportunities across all geographies – especially within our top accounts and prospects.
- Provide knowledge transfer to clients.
- Evaluate and recommend new emerging business solutions into our portfolio.
- Work in conjunction with our business line leads to help integrate Enterprise Solutions into broader company efforts
Business Development
- Provide single-threaded and cross-functional support to meet pursuit demands for new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Perform strategic business analysis in support of new capturing new Enterprise Solutions business opportunities.
- Facilitate effective executive presentations with prospect stakeholders to advance the sales process.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Principals/SAs and Business Line Leaders to quickly and accurately complete Business Case, ROI, and other sales assets in the sales process.
- Maintain strong vendor/partner relationships to understand their business, products, and positioning within the marketplace.
- Develop and deepen partner relationships and vendors that result in increased business for OST.
- Collaborate with Sales Reps, Principal Consultants, and technical delivery consultants throughout the entire service scoping and delivery process.
- Be instrumental in driving the development and implementation of Solutions for OST to take to market.
- Drive margin in partnership with sales.
Technical Leadership
- Exemplify servant leadership characteristics, and lead in a way that our success is your success.
- Be a trusted technical advisor consulting on leading-edge technologies and possess deep technical knowledge.
- Provide the overall vision of the project solution and be the link between the needs of the client and the technical and project management teams.
- Continue to build unique technical expertise and best practices to optimize the use of technology in modern data center environments.
- Keep abreast of market trends, solution insights, new vendors, products, and methods; Regularly teach these to the rest of the ES Team
- Be instrumental in driving the development and implementation of Solutions for OST to take to market.
What you'll bring:
- 12+ years of experience in the Enterprise Information Technology space.
- Expertise and in-depth working knowledge of cloud platforms (at least one of the following: AWS, Azure, or GCP), and their corresponding security and networking architecture and technologies
- The ability to prepare and deliver executive communications that drive understanding and open options.
- An innovative approach to leveraging strategy, technology, and services to drive competitive advantage
- Amazing written and verbal communication skills.
- A deep desire to work and collaborate with others to build an amazing team focused on delighting our clients.

- Deep experience and technical knowledge in the enterprise technology following areas:
- Hyperscaler/Cloud technologies and platform services (AWS/Azure hyperscalers, on-prem, colocation, multi-cloud and edge)
- Converged, Hyperconverged, Dis-aggregated Hyperconverged infrastructure
- A theoretical and practical grounding in consumption economics
- XaaS – especially bundling infrastructure/cloud and services
- Cybersecurity
- Identity and Access Management
- Containerization (eg; Kubernetes, Tanzu, Openshift, Ezmeral)
- SDDC/IAC
- DevOps
- DR/HA/Run book/BIA/BCP technologies
- IT Service Management
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30%
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field required. Masters preferred.
