- Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Send out weekly statements to customers and contact past due accounts and follow-up on payment commitments.
- Provide detailed information on payment tracking.
- Account reconciliations.
- Inform management of significant changes in account status in a timely manner.
- Maintain up to date customer billing information.
- Provide timely and accurate payment processing of accounts payable checks.
- Develop and maintain reports and files in QuickBooks.
- Generate payment activity reports for specific payment deadlines.
- Investigate and resolve all accounts payable related irregularities.
- Assist with monthly closing procedures including all accounts payable accrual reporting.
- Prepare aging reports.
- Assist in weekly inventory counting.
- Provide outstanding customer service by responding timely to inquiries from vendors concerning payments and when colleagues have questions regarding invoices and payments.
- Manage various forms of accounting data, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- File and maintain all invoice records weekly for ease of accessibility and up to date data.
- Responsible for the adherence of the Company’s accounting practices and policies.
- Provide additional reporting and analysis as needed, and other finance/accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements/Education:
- Previous 3-5 years of accounting experience; Associate’s degree is preferred; but not required.
- Advanced understanding of accounting principles.
- Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures that is reflective of the automotive industry. Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers is preferred.
- Flexibility, willingness to learn new skills, and ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
- Organized and able to effectively prioritize conflicting tasks.
Skills/Qualifications/Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, MS Office Suite especially Excel, Quickbooks Enterprise 2018, attention to details, exceptional telephone and email etiquette, teamwork, accuracy, problem solving ability, professionalism, reporting skills, and effective time management.
