Description
SoundOff Signal, a growing ESOP company located in Hudsonville, Michigan, is adding to our Accounting Team. The Senior Compliance Accountant is responsible for performing a variety of financial tasks in support of the company financials, specifically related to ESOP, tax, and treasury.
Requirements
- Demonstrates SoundOff Signal's Core Values in daily interactions with internal and external customers
- Support the month-end general ledger account close activities for all companies:
- Production close in M2M
- Journal entries
- Account reconciliations
- International transactions
- Month-end processing
- Payroll related entries
- Consolidation entries
- Prepares consolidated financials and subsidiary financials, including international entity and multicurrency transactions
- Prophix user for preparation of financial reports and analysis
- Analyzes financials for reporting to management
- Assist in data compilation for statutory tax filings and quarterly/annual corporate tax filings
- Assist in processing daily treasury functions
- Assist with fixed asset accounting
- File quarterly state sales tax returns
- Support global expansion projects
- Assist with review of multicurrency transactions including revaluation and translation integrity as needed
- Assist with property tax filings
- Assist in quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of year-end Review
- Contribute to team effort by conducting ad hoc financial projects as needed
- Able to perform job consistently and without excessive absenteeism or tardiness
- Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience
- Demonstrated knowledge/experience with accounting and GAAP
- Proven analytical ability
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-initiator, team player, effective communicator, with a customer focus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office software
- Made2Manage Business Software and Prophix Software proficiency preferred
