The UNIX/Linux Server Engineer is a technical consulting position as part of our Managed Services Team which
provides support for server, database, network, and storage systems in enterprise data centers. In this role, you will manage, maintain and provide support for UNIX-based and Linux-based servers for our clients.

What you'll accomplish:
- Provide consultative services to clients, design server management solutions, and analyze and resolve complex infrastructure and systems issues
- Partner collaboratively with team and customers to design and implement solutions to business needs
- Maintain awareness of industry trends and issues with UNIX/Linux infrastructure and hardware
What you'll bring:
- 4+ years of technical experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting and supporting, UNIX (HP-UX or AIX) and/or Linux (RHEL, Oracle, or Debian). Tasks including capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, end user support, pre-emptive maintenance, configuration management, patch management, change management, problem management, process improvement, risk management, and mitigations
- 3+ years technical experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise-server class hardware
- Experience with UNIX shell, PERL, and PYTHON scripts to accomplish day to day system administration tasks and to support business application requirements
- Familiarity with VMware vSphere and ESX or Hyper-V a plus
- Familiarity with native operating system LDAP and/or 3rd party SSO tools for UNIX/Linux environment a plus
- Ability to write and reviews detailed technical documentation
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and perform after-hours work as needed
- Experience working in a datacenter
- Willingness and demonstrated ability to jump in and troubleshoot issues with new or unknown technologies
- Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives interacting with staff across departmental levels
