LOCATION: Currently Located in Dickinson County

LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Full-Time, Full Year
QUALIFICATIONS/ REQUIREMENTS:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree, an elementary degree with a ZA or ZS Endorsement.
2. A minimum of two years of successful experience in Early Childhood Education or related fields of education, and an in-depth knowledge of education of young children, infants and toddlers.
3. Ability to work effectively with staff, parents and families and the community.
4. Knowledge of infant/toddler development and the coordinating roles of various components and programs within the department.
5. Ability to provide consultant service to staff and parents regarding infant/toddler development and developmentally appropriate practice.
6. Working knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards.
7. Maintain a current knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice.
8. Successful experience in facilitating adult education/learning.
9. Driving may be necessary for this position which would require a valid driver’s license.
OVERVIEW OF DUTIES:
1. Research, develop, maintain and coordinate home visiting programs and initiatives for children.
2. Provide guidance, direction and evaluation of home base coordinators in assessing and planning for infant/toddlers and their caregiver.
3. Promote good public awareness by neat appearance of self and proper attitude.
4. Work with families and staff and utilizing community resources.
5. Promotes an atmosphere for a healthy life by encouraging a state of physical and emotional wellness for children, families, and staff.
6. Assist families with meeting educational, personal, social, occupation and child & family related issues.
