Overall Expectation:
Provide hands-on support to production cells and external customers with technical expertise, excellent service, humility, and a positive collaborative attitude. Our goal is to provide safe, efficient, and reliable manufacturing processes that allow our teams to deliver customer products on time, with minimal defects, and utilize the most cost effective methods.
- Support production cells and external customers with excellent service, responsiveness, and a positive attitude.
- Implement permanent corrective action that results in problem resolution and effectively communicate updates with all affected team members.
- Ensure machine safety devices (guarding, controls...) function to the design intent.
- Maintain and improve equipment safety through ergonomic and safety controls evaluation.
- Utilize action item lists to prioritize activity and ensure timely project execution.
- Reduce scrap and increase process capability.
- Utilize time management skills to address multiple requests, and achieve timing expectations that result in win-win outcomes.
- Implement projects that result in process scrap reductions and increased process capability.
- Optimize Direct Labor costs by utilizing labor automation analysis tools and diligently implement new concepts that drive Continuous Improvement.
- Support new business development activities with accurate costs and assumptions (Quoting, prototype, TAKT/Cycle Time...).
- Manage equipment builds as needed to meet cost, timing, and technical requirements.
- Utilize appropriate escalation methods for issue resolution, proactively seek input to accelerate troubleshooting/problem solving mindset.
- Justify annual compensation through implementation of manufacturing cost reductions, continuous improvement, and VA/VE analysis.
Requirements:
- BS in engineering field or significant related experience.
- Experience in robotic welding/automation applications (preferred).
- Experience in electronics or electrical wiring applications (preferred).
