The Cell Lead assists the area Supervisor to provide supervision to the Cell. The Cell Lead shares knowledge, experience and support to the team. The Cell Lead helps ensure production is running at full capacity in the Cell. In addition, the Cell Lead is responsible to collect the data and facilitate daily stand up meetings with the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership support to Cell team members, particularly on Off-Fridays and weekends.
- Facilitate daily stand up meetings with team members to review production schedules and on-time production
- Notify area Supervisors when production schedules will not be met.
- Provide on-the-job-training to new team members or team members learning a new process.
- Process team member time sheets every week to ensure they are complete and correct
- Communicate training requirements to team members. Ensure they complete required training.
- Ensure Implemented Lean Tools and Philosophies are properly utilized

- Time Studies/Labor Cards
- Test/Source Data Sheets
- Material Bins
- Share and allocate labor within the cell and with other cells based on daily production needs.
- Ensure team members have appropriate tools, equipment, work instructions and training to complete their jobs. Report Traveler/WI Inaccuracies. Report shortages, including inaccurate information.
- Assist area Supervisors write and distribute annual team member performance reviews.
- Ensure the safety of employees in emergency situations; follow medical and safety procedures established by the Company.
- Ensure 5s procedures are followed within the Cell.
- Any other task assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- 1+ Year of manufacturing leadership experience, preferred
- LEAN certification, preferred
- Experience in Electronics assembly
- Ability to read and understand written work instructions in English
- Acute dexterity of fingers and hands and the ability to use small hand tools
- Keen attention to detail and quality
- Ability to easily see small objects through a microscope
- Ability to bend, stoop and reach
- Ability to lift up to 30-35 pounds
