The MIHP Office Clerk is responsible for providing clerical support to the MIHP staff and Manager by facilitating paperwork and completing other special projects. This position is part of a team-based approach to care in the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH). The Office Clerk is involved in activities related to Quality Improvement and assists with organizing and maintaining charts (paper and electronic) for the MIHP program. Responsibilities also include maintaining patient lists, correspondence to providers and reports to the Health Maintenance Organization as required by MIHP.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Training in a Medical Office Assistant program and previous experience in any office setting OR two years’ experience in a medical office setting.
- Able to multi-task without direct supervision.
- Typing, filing, telephone etiquette, and computer skills necessary.
- Valid Driver's License and proof of auto insurance or insurability.
- Medical billing experience preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
