Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Know and report potential sanitation or safety hazards in the kitchen, dining room or other areas to Director of Food and Nutrition Services, and equipment malfunctions to the Environmental Services Manager.
- Adhere to Standard Precautions and facility Infection Control policies and procedures, and ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times.
- Adhere to the dietary cleaning schedules.
- Comply with schedule as established by the Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
- Maintain courteous, tactful, and helpful manner when dealing with residents, staff and visitors.
- Adhere to patient rights and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Store food items and supplies appropriately.
- Report all accidents/incidents as established by department policies. Fill out and file reports as directed.
- Report occupational exposure to blood, body fluids, infectious material, and hazardous chemicals to the Director of Food and Nutrition Services.
- Assure staff compliance with all state and federal regulations.
- Attend meetings as required.
- Perform other tasks as required.
