OST is a digital consultancy with clients in healthcare, manufacturing, retail, insurance, finance, engineering, product development, e-commerce and more. Our new Senior UX Designer will work alongside business consultants, application developers, strategists, and other user experience designers.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver great service to our clients
- Support execution of projects from conception through delivery
- Advocate for the best possible solution given all known constraints
- Assist with scoping and estimation for design projects and design portions of projects
- Work with business stakeholders to identify, refine, and validate strategic opportunities
- Conduct effective industry research and competitive analysis to understand critical project context
- Identify and perform appropriate user research techniques to uncover key insights, inform innovation, and inspire design
- Facilitate discovery workshops, design workshops, strategy workshops, and other client-facing meetings
- Contribute to overall project quality and success by wholly owning or assisting with the production of all required project deliverables (i.e. product roadmaps, user personas, user flows, user stories, journey maps, alignment diagrams, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, visual concepts, strategic communication)
- Maintain close relationships with development, QA, and other design team members to ensure that all requirements and design decisions are clearly understood
- Identify and articulate the need for additional project resources or skillsets as circumstances warrant
- Maintain existing client relationships and actively nurture new ones
- Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with appropriate OST resources to pursue them if viable
- Manage complex workflows and design systems
Required Skills and Experience
- 7+ years of related professional experience
- 5+ years of experience as a practicing user experience designer
- 3+ years of experience with the agile project methodology
- Ability to communicate difficult and unfamiliar concepts in plain language
- Sketching, wireframing, and prototyping
- Journey mapping
- Experience with ethnographic research, user studies, digital tracking tools, interviewing, field observation and any other methods you’ve invented or learned over the years to observe and track user behavior
- Demonstrated excellence in multiple disciplines within the designer’s toolkit (i.e. user research, prototyping, visual design, content strategy, etc.)
- Ability to build strong relationships throughout an organization
- Ability to be a good team member and team leader
- Successful management of competing priorities
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or above in psychology, anthropology, graphic design, industrial design, human factors design, or other related disciplines. Alternately, an equivalent level of work experience.
