We are looking for a ProjectManager with Regulatory Compliance experience and focus for our Akron, OH office. The ideal candidate will provide compliance services for a wide range of environmental projects and industries. The job responsibilities include conducting multi-media environmental compliance audits, develop strategies for environmental compliance for the clients, prepare technical documents including proposals, permit applications, reports and regulatory agency correspondence, development of SPCC Plans, SWPPP, FRP, NEPA evaluations and other regulatory environmental plans. Experience and confidence in navigating regulations and regulatory guidance is a must.
The candidate needs to be able to communicate complex regulatory issues and concepts to technical and non-technical clients and project teams. Prior demonstrated knowledge is a requirement for this position.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or other sciences
- Knowledge of regulatory environmental requirements at the federal and state levels
- Ability to navigate new regulatory requirements as they are developed
- Excellent technical writing and reviewing skills
- Be detailed oriented
- Data compilation, reduction, interpretation, evaluation/comparison to environmental regulatory standards
- Ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals, clients, regulatory officials, and field staff
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Willingness to travel (including overnight stays)
- OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training is a plus
The Successful Candidate Will
- Manage several projects simultaneously involving various environmental compliance
- Experience in multimedia compliance management within manufacturing industries
- Perform compliance and recordkeeping audits and provide regulatory determinations for state and federal regulations
- Prepare SPCC, SWPP, PIP Plans for construction and industrial sites
- Complete permit applications for wastewater and air emission permits
