Position Summary?
The?Optimization Manager?will utilize data analysis and problem solving techniques to assist with improving company performance including productivity and throughput. The position will be a key role player in supporting the operations function. The Optimization Manager creates outcomes by building strong working relationships, turning data into insights, challenging the status quo and influencing decisions through problem solving. The position will provide technical guidance and support to operations to maintain optimal performance and continuous improvement. Through analysis, focus areas will include identifying ways to maximize worker efficiencies and yield improvements.

Duties and Responsibilities?
- Proactively find and promote business improvement opportunities such as economic return, quality/process improvement, capacity increase,?etc.
- Suggest to engineering line layout changes using process flow diagrams to help optimize performance and cost-efficient operations.
- Analyze and recommend enhancements to existing job duties, work methods, flows and processes to improve current capabilities.
- Provide guidance to assist with projects in support of change and growth plans.?
- Participates in initiation of new production lines to assist in design for cost-effective manufacturing.
- Recommend robust manufacturing concepts to simplify/improve manufacturing processes to ensure best practice and continuous improvement.
- Prepare well written clear studies/reports and verbally present those findings to staff and the operations function.
- Perform other duties as needed or required.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree?Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing?Engineering
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in?food processing industry or?manufacturing environment
- Master's Degree and 3 + years' experience in meat processing preferred

Work Environment?
This job operates in an?office?and plant?environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.??While performing the duties of the job, the employee may occasionally be exposed to temperatures, strong odors, moving mechanical parts and vibration.? The noise level in the plant environment can be loud.?The successful candidate must be able to navigate both the plant & office environments.?

Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work?
This is a Full-Time position.? Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required as job duties demand.??
