Looking for RNs to join our 5 Star Facility team! We are looking for employees that embrace the changing health-care environment and are dedicated to providing excellent care to our residents.
Summary: The Registered Nurse provides skilled nursing services, functions, or tasks under the delegation and supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer.
Essential Functions:
- Observe residents, documenting and reporting changes in residents' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment, and taking any necessary action.
- Work as part of a healthcare team to assess resident needs, plan and modify care, and implement interventions.
- Supervise nurses' aides or assistants.
- Assemble and use equipment, such as catheters, tracheotomy tubes, or oxygen suppliers.
- Administer prescribed medications or start intravenous fluids, noting times and amounts on residents' charts.
- Assists with or institutes emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.
- Basic computer and Microsoft outlook knowledge.
- Oral and written comprehension and expression skills required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree accepted.
License(s): Successful completion of an accredited RN program; currently licensed by the State of Michigan as an RN. CPR certification (preferred).
Experience: 1 year in a long term care facility (preferred) New Grads Welcome!
Position Hours: A and B shift 12 hr. 6:30pm-7am/ 6:30am-7pm
