Position Description:
- Assign Harness Design Engineers to tasksServe as activity lead for EV CORE as required
- Monitor work load and task assignments
- Distribute incoming request for support (SPRs / SCRs, Production RFESs, etc.)
- Review work output as required
- Support Program BOE Efforts for harness design activities
- Develop advanced technological concepts that can be incorporated into the design Mil Spec Wire Harnesses.
- Designing electrical wiring harnesses to include component selection for connectors, back shells, sleeving, braiding, sealants, boots, transitions, etc.
- Determining harness layout through vehicle, branch points for multi-branch harnesses.
- Designing to environmental requirements for temperature, shock, vibration, submergence, exposure to harsh chemicals
- Direct long-range or large scale harness design projects. Self-initiate tasks and assignments in order to bring large scale projects to a successful conclusion, including but not limited to:Work independently in consultation with management to execute long-range goals for harness design, including by not limited to: capital planning, process improvement and metrics development and monitoring.
- Collaborate with Design Services team to assign resources and route work among a team
- Working with CAD draftsman to develop released drawings for harnesses, electrical installations, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Working with systems engineers to define whole vehicle pin-level interconnect
- Working with physical architects to define harness routing channels, space claims
- Mentor other team members in harness design processes and best practices
- Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide solutions which are highly innovative and ingenious in order to expedite completion of harness design projects or problem reports.

- LAV Turret (Production Support and New Design)
- IRAD / APT Support
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 15 years of relevant post graduate work required. Fewer years of experience will be considered with an advanced degree.
- Advanced knowledge of technical principles, theories, and concepts related to Military Vehicle Electrical Architecture and Mil Spec Wiring Design.
- Experience with wiring, plant support, and engineering build phases desired.
- Ability to lead multi-engineer projects and balance cost/schedule/technical priorities.
- Occasional overtime, and weekend hours may be required to complete critical tasks.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with interdisciplinary teams.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- Experience with Microsoft Visio desirable.
- Designing experience in Mentor Capital software highly desired.
- Experience with Teamcenter desirable.
- Experience with Pro-E Creo desirable.
- Experience with NX desirable.
