As the SFG, LLC Sales Director - Kroger you will lead our efforts to maintain and expand relationships with Kroger nationally.
Position Reports To: Vice President of Sales Processed Meats
Core Responsibilities:
Sales Director Kroger is responsible for achieving sales goals and assigned strategic account objectives.
- Demonstrate leadership influence in representing our organization with customers and the community. Demonstrate leadership influence inside our organization.
- Identify and propose long-term strategies to drive a sustainable business as it relates to the customer and our portfolio of products.
- Manage potential branded and private label products and identify new product opportunities to help support and achieve business objectives.
- Develop and execute plans to achieve sales targets at Kroger.
- Management of daily sales activity with Customer Service/Logistics.
- Supervise Broker in developing strategies at corporate and store level.
- Communicate with Corporate buyers on pricing, promotions, and sell-through analysis.
- Provide fill rate/in-stock results to buyers and replenishment managers.
- Meet weekly with Logistics to determine areas of improvement in on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with members of the sales management team on sales opportunities, competitive activity, and emerging sales trends.
- Review and assess the marketing plan as it relates to the customer, as well as recommend strategic marketing steps to drive the business.
Location
- This position ideally will be located in Cincinnati, OH, where Kroger is headquartered or in the Tri-State region (SE Indiana, SW Ohio, No Kentucky)
Essential Job Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive sales to meet company objectives.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to analyze sales and marketing data to drive additional sales.
- Excellent computer skills, including building reports in Excel and developing presentations in PowerPoint.
- Delivering extensive business reviews, new item presentations, plan-o-gram reviews, utilizing key analysis including syndicated data tools.
- This position will require frequent travel.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- 10+ years sales experience exceeding goals with multi-level national accounts
- 10+ years with 90% of time in processed meat is preferred, including smoked meats, bacon, lunchmeat.
- Experience selling to or managing large customers with deduction and/or portal management.
- Thorough understanding of broker management in a processed retail environment.
- Bachelor's required or master's degree preferred with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration.
- Stable employment history
- Must pass E-Verify.
