JOB DESCRIPTION
- Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process per AIAG guidelines, along with OEM specific requirements
- Oversee Supplier APQP activities for new product launches
- Monitors supplier progress on deliverables, including on-site visits and process sign-offs.
- Ability to interact with OEM partners for supplier status and potential on-site
visits
- Work with component and tooling/equipment suppliers to improve products and resolve -manufacturing problems
- Participate in Simultaneous Development Teams (SDT's) during new product development cycles
- Participate in internal audits as required
- Interaction with Plant Quality team on supplier resolution issues during launch phases of a program.
- Support the Product Introduction Process through all phases of prototype fabrication and delivery.
- Provide technical support on processes related to automotive Complete Seat seat products; i.e. seat structures, mechanisms, stampings, etc.
- Knowledge/expertise in GD&T, Gage R, Gage R&R requirements; i.e. gage or fixture design/approval, etc.
