Job Summary
This position is accountable for the operational strategy for the Operations Organization (distribution, generation & compression) related to how we fully integrate and operationalize our lean operating system as our way of running the business to achieve our purpose. This includes accountability for business planning & current year performance to achieve our breakthrough performance objectives. This position is called upon for all high visibility issues and all escalated deliverables. The scope of influence is significant in this role, via strong communication with and across the workforce; IT partners; MPSC regulators; & the Senior Leadership team. This team is counted on to drive transformative sustainable change.
The candidate will succeed by partnering with executive leaders to shape strategic thinking and structure effective execution plans. The Operational Strategy manager partners with cross-functional business teams and drives successful business planning & execution, benchmarking and best practice research. This role will be responsible for leading executive initiatives & must be a strong collaborator, recognized for building credibility, commitment and energy within the team, Operations and across the organizations (TEOS, Customer, finance and IT partners).
- Ground breaking thinking & visionary goals to drive strategic operational optimization across the Operations organization. This includes formulating strategies, vision, roadmaps, business models, emerging technologies, business plan deployment, scorecards / visualization, best practice research, business intelligence and analytics to move our business forward
- Deliver our breakthrough results by defining & driving the execution of operational strategy & analytics for the TOP areas of focus for Operations organization which include developing and guiding run the business value streams thinking and kaizen events
- Provide Business Plan Deployment (BPD) coaching to BPD leads and rally room owners within Operations
- Facilitate Operations Level 1 - 3 business plan deployment
- Prepare and facilitate Operations Level 1-2 operating reviews which provide monitoring of goal status and strategy effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting IT, Engineering or related degree. Less than a Bachelor's degree may be acceptable if accompanied by extensive Company or industry experience in positions that demonstrate required abilities and performance.
- 6 years of job-relevant experience, inclusive of business analytics and problem-solving functions exhibiting a progressive work history
