The food service worker is responsible for providing a safe, clean and orderly lunch period for all students.
Hours and Compensation:
- Days: Monday through Friday
- Part time hours: Hours can vary as they can include morning hours depending on the location you are assigned to
- Starting pay is $12.50/hr;
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work cooperatively with other food services, dining hall, and school staff;
Supervise students from their arrival in lunch line to their departure to playground or learning studio;
Teach students where to be in lines and where to sit in dining hall;
Know school safety procedures and emergency information;
Comply with requirements of the National School Lunch Program;
Maintain positive communication with students—meet their needs;
Wash tables, wipe up spills and teach good manners at lunch;
Maintain a pleasant environment in dining hall;
Receptive to the special needs of students’ diets;
Swipe ID cards, make announcements, assist with condiments;
Assist students in any way;
Pay is $10.00/hour
Perform other related duties as assigned.
