We are currently looking for an Operations Team Manager IIto join our team in Holland, MI.

This is an operations leadership position responsible for our Holland Components Plant. You will report directly to a Plant Manager or Manufacturing Manager and are responsible for direct management of the plant. Holland Components is a plant of up to 200 people. We are looking for a leader that is metrics driven and can cultivate a positive culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

• Achieving targeted objectives for safety, quality, schedule, and cost initiatives, using lean manufacturing concepts and Haworth leadership principles.
• Manages daily operations processes and initiates corrective actions to achieve conformance to lead fulfillment of quality objectives in compliance with (ISO) 9000 standards.
• Achieves schedule completion and key support elements of operations (staffing, equipment, tooling, technical services, and others) to ensure effective utilization to improve overall business results.
• Develops and manages annual labor and overhead budget
• Works with various teams to achieve member security consistent with Haworth policies, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), and Michigan Occupational Safety & Health Administration (MIOSHA) standards and ISO 14000.

• Bachelor's degree (Business Administration, Engineering, or Operations Management preferred) OR equivalent work expeirence required (equivalent is defined as 2 years of manufacturing work experienceequals 1 year of formal education required)
• 8 years leadership/management experience, including 4 years' experience in an operations environment with 2 years production supervision experience
• Ability to climb/bend/move in manufacturing environment and spend significant time on shop floor, climbing above floor level and around or over equipment, walking on screen guards, and working in awkward areas of manufacturing environment
• Current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.

• Experience leading and participating inlean manufacturing/continuous improvement projects
• Experience with value stream mapping
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 certified quality control systems, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and materials management techniques
• Experience with manufacturing materials, metal fabrication, or other process manufacturing
• Managing and leading groups of 100 or more
• SAP experience
• Master's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or Business

• Working knowledge of ISO 9000 certified quality control systems, lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement, Statistical Process Control (SPC), team organizational structure and leadership principles, and materials management techniques
• Demonstrated dedication in keeping current with improvements in manufacturing and distribution technologies
• PC and keyboard/mouse skills required
