Responsibilities
Dematic is looking for a Software Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. You will accelerate innovation with design, development, testing, debugging, documentation, commissioning, training and support activities that build intelligent Distribution Center Order Fulfillment Software Solutions.
Core Job Responsibilities:
You will design functional specifications and develop software
You will implement project customizations and configurations
Propose software modifications to adapt to business change
Conduct quality testing and integration of new or updated systems
Perform installs, commission, and test application software as part of an integrated solution
You will conduct training for customers and key-users
Provide second level support of installed systems
Continually work to identify improvements
Acting Technical Leader's will also provide technical leadership of software engineers by directing and tracking team activities, as well as being an individual contributor

Technical Knowledge You Possess
In-depth understanding of Software and IT/hardware setup including network configuration
Current experience with C and C Programming
Extensive Database Design and Programming (Microsoft SQL, Oracle)
Knowledge and understanding of Windows Server
General knowledge of Web Services (SOAP, REST), Socket Programming
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
Experience with GitLab, Sub-Version
General understanding and knowledge of Virtualization (VMWare, etc.)
Education and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
0-2 yrs of software development and/or programming experience
Willingness to travel 15% - 30%
Experience with industrial automation a plus
