POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Director Corporate Communications and Public Relations, the Manager Internal Communication will be responsible for the development and execution of proactive internal communication programs. The Manager Internal Communication will engage employees by developing creative content that aligns with the organization's mission, vision, and values, as well as produce and implement creative and innovative communication deliverables to tell the Versiti brand story.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops internal communications programs that engage, align, and inspire employees
- Creates and deploys strategic communications plans to best meet the needs of the organization
- On behalf of senior executives, drafts messages or scripts for presentation to employees
- Ensures internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and relevant to different departments of the organization
- Manages internal communications tools and the deployment of content to employees via a variety of channels
- Drives editorial strategy. Plans, edits, and writes content for a variety of internal communications mediums
- Works with cross-functional teams, such as human resources and operations, to best support the needs and future growth of the organization
- Organizes and manages content around internal recognition and awards programs
- Responds to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
- Handles the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation
- Manages external vendors and freelancers, as needed
- Assists Director of Marketing in the preparation of the budget
- Ensures that Versiti resources are used wisely
- Processes paperwork including purchases orders and invoices in a timely manner
Education
- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in communications, public relations, journalism, advertising, or related degree required
Experience
- Six years of communications experience required
- Three years of experience in managerial roles required
