DeWys Manufacturing, Inc is seeking a Coordinate Measuring Machine Programmer to join our growing team!
The CMM Programmer responsibilities include calibrating the coordinate measuring machine, act as a point person for quality team, scheduling work, handling reviews, and managing day to day quality issues.
To be successful in this role, you should be fully trained and experienced in CMM programing with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

CMM Programmer Duties and Responsibilities
- Program or calibrate the coordinate measuring machine (CMM)
- Act as point person for quality team, scheduling work, handling reviews, and managing day to day issues.
- Conduct quality control inspections
- Work with a team to meet manufacturing deadlines.
- CMM Programming & Set-up
- New Product Introduction – Support Team on PPAP
- Drawing review / feasibility
- Develop metrology documents for new product launches to meet customer requirements.
- Gauge Set-up & Validation – ensure gauge R@R & capability study can progress.
- Participates in preventative actions where appropriate.
- Conducts corrective actions and perform problem solving analysis and reporting as required.
- Participates in needs analysis and attends or performs training as needed.
- Participates, as requested, in independent objective auditing activities and supports company continuous improvement activities.
- Stops work on processes as appropriate and contain suspect or defective material or services to avoid further processing.
- Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- Develops and implements methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material and devises methods to assess cost and responsibility.
- Conduct part and check fixture certifications and re-certification as required.
- Maintain equipment and report any problems with equipment.
- Responsible for part and check fixture layout with written data which supports that parts and fixture are made to print for PPAP.
- Maintain and update part layout history files.
CMM Programmer Requirements and Qualifications
- Fully trained experienced Offline CMM Programming to alignment requirements – RPS etc. Minimum of 2 years of experience.
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
- Full understanding of Technical Drawings and GD&T
- High Standard of computer literacy
- Excellent verbal and written communicator
- Attention to detail.
- Methodical approach to problem solving.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Familiarity with GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) symbols
- Experience with precise measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers
- Basic math skills
