Job Description
Benefits
• Respond to employee questions about benefit offerings.
• Contact vendors to resolve employee issues.
• Track deductions, send past due notices to employees.
• Coordinate annual Open Enrollment for benefits.
• Enrollment notice to payroll, setup payments in HRIS.
• Make arrangements for catch up payments, notify Payroll.
• Monitor ACA measurement periods and generate offers of coverage.
• Prepare data for outside agencies as required (5500s, 1094, 1095, plan renewals).
• Track benefit offers for new hires and promotions.
Leaves of Absences
• Data entry into HRIS.
• Send FMLA paperwork (initial, follow up) to employee.
• Contact supervisors at expiration of leave.
• Send employee letters if no contact after leave.
• Coordinate administrative leave average hour payments with Payroll.
• Track costs of lost time due to leave of absence.
• Review medical status for return to work, evaluate restrictions.
• Send benefit payment reminders for employees on leave.
Employee Status
• Data entry into HRIS.
• Notify Payroll of changes that affect wages.
• Monitor database codes (supervisor, union).
• Modify bid seniority, if necessary.
• Monitor qualification for benefits as a result of status change.
