JOB DESCRIPTION
1.0 Purpose
This Work Instruction defines a Senior Financial Analyst job description.
2.0 Scope
This Work Instruction applies to Bridgewater Interiors' Warren facility, a JV of the Automotive Group (AG) of Johnson Controls.
Responsibility
- Develops material and freight standard costs annually and loads the standard costs into the system
- Analyzes standard costs on periodic basis and reviews variances
- Reviews accounts payable, freight reporting, return material, and payroll for accuracy
- Processes or reviews all transactions associated with inventory
- Under the direction of the Plant Controller, is responsible for the preparation of closing statements
- Prepares and audits monthly budget analysis and updates for adjustments to determine accuracy of monthly budgets
- Reconciles inter-company balances between Bridgewater Interior's facilities.
- Coordinates annual audit & prepares audit package
- Prepares reports for management
- Coordinates physical inventory
- Assists the Controller in the area of costs and budgets through the review of operations and the criteria used for developing cost standards and expense budgets to establish an acceptable base for measuring product cost, expense control, and Plant performance
- Reviews profit plans and forecasts by analyzing financial data, and advise management of the monthly performance
- Prepares appropriation requests and the justification of same for capital expenditures to insure that the funds are being requested in accordance with the Corporate guidelines
- Insures proper account distribution for work orders submitted through observation and review of work orders and the project status report
- From time to time, will review plant procedures to determine cost saving effectiveness of meeting plant goals
- Other duties deemed necessary by the Controller

- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Ability to take ownership of ambiguous situations
- Ability to work well under deadlines
- Desired but not required Qualifications:
- CPA or MBA
- Experience with MFG/Pro, SAP
- Sarbanes-Oxley Experience
Reporting Relationship:
- Reports to the Controller
Education Required:
- Bachelors Degree in accounting or equivalent
