We are looking for a Business Line Leader. In this new general management position, the Business Line Leader will have accountability for the full-channel performance and P&L of the Braking Business Line within the US and Canada market. He/ She is responsible for solidifying the category strategy, growing results and building connections with the internal teams as well as with our customers. This key role will report into Senior Vice President, Motorparts Americas.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete responsibility for the success of the braking product category (within the region, including day-to-day P&L performance, product management, purchasing, manufacturing, delivery and quality performance.
- Lead the brand management, representing our brand in the market and identifying growth opportunities.
- Work in concert with the Americas channel management team to prioritize and deliver revenue growth and margin expansion.
- Lead strategic key initiatives and inspire a shared vision across the different teams and departments (Product management, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Brand & Category management, Sales & Marketing, Supply chain & Distribution, Pricing…).
- Drive the full Product lifecycle management (product pipeline & roadmap, new product line additions and launches, current product line rationalization).
- Responsible for the Engineering technology roadmap, innovation & new part introduction wit cost focus and management support.
- Involved in strategic pricing, quotes and exceptions.
- Play a key role for Purchasing and make sourcing & execution decision.
- Challenge and optimize Manufacturing operations.
- Support Supply & Demand planning with optimizing supply planning and inventory management for raw materials and finished goods.
- Build strong teams and enable them to deliver results.
- Direct reports: teams Product Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and the local Plant Managers.
- The Business Line Leader is the link between the Manufacturing plants and the Commercial organization. He/ She ensures and executes our solution focused brand strategy and works closely with the regional customers to deliver high quality products and services within the Aftermarket.
Required Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Economics, Business Administration or Sales and Marketing is required. Master’s degree is preferred.
Skills & Experience:
- 15 years in a similar leadership role within a complex, international Production environment.
- Proven track record of driving and growing top line revenue.
- Strong commercial & marketing knowledge and good understanding of Go2Market product strategy.
- Brand strategy development and enhancement.
- Technical and operational knowledge within the automotive industry and more specifically of Shocks & Struts (shock absorbers, strut assemblies, bare strut, coil springs) or Braking or Maintenance can be an asset.
- Customer focus & operational execution.
- Demonstrated ability to setup and lead diverse and remote teams through strong leadership.
