We encourage the efficient use of energy consistent with our Clean Energy Plan and design and implement rates that allow the company a fair opportunity to recover the costs necessary to provide safe and reliable service whenever our customers need it. We work closely with regulators and customers to ensure timely and accurate rate analyses, conduct cost of service studies, determine the company's annual revenue requirements, establish rate design, develop and implement tariffs and ensure compliance with the Michigan Public Service Commission orders and Administrative Rules governing the sale of electric and gas service. Our customers count on us to ensure their rates are fair, send proper price signals, and that our tariffs provide clear and concise information regarding the responsibilities of both the customer and the company.Job Description/ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Rate Analyst in Rate Administration is responsible for the development, review and maintenance of existing and new Company tariffs. The Senior Analyst will be expected to support Company proposals in regulatory proceedings as an expert witness commensurate with experience and job knowledge. The Senior Analyst will have the ability to lead implementation of regulatory changes throughout the business by providing training and interpretation. The Senior Rate Analyst will work with other departments to ensure all rate changes are properly and accurately implemented which includes testing and coordinating billing system modifications. The Senior Rate Analyst must be able to lead and resolve corrective action plans when there are concerns of MPSC noncompliance.Additionally the Senior Analyst will consult on many high impact projects throughout the company and must for see business, financial and customer impacts and make appropriate recommendations.Requirements/Qualifications•A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Administration or related area.
