Job Description
The Education Programs Support team, part of the AWS Training and Certification organization, is looking for a multi-disciplined Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a proven ability to earn trust with customers and team members. This position will support 8+ teams within Education Programs that are focused on closing the cloud skills gaps to help customers and partners fill cloud roles with qualified cloud talent.
The Education Program Support team is a Center of Excellence for business, data, and technology strategy for Education Program teams. We support the business by developing and implementing best practices for leading projects and initiatives that deliver on time, on budget, and in scope.
This role will focus on the application security and application integration domains. For security, the TPM will assist teams as they conduct security reviews by building relationships with internal security stakeholders to reduce friction while upholding or raising the security bar. For Integrations, the TPM will lead conversations to define requirements for enhancements and work with internal and external engineering teams to scope, plan, and release those enhancements with minimal impact to customers. In both domains, the TPM will have quarterly projects with Education Programs and will work with adjacent organizations to share best practices, build relationships, and reduce friction at its source. In addition, this role will also own the CRM solution strategy for Education Programs, under the leadership of the Education Program Support team's Technology Team manager.
The TPM will need an exceptional ability to learn new topics and domains quickly as the Education Program teams are agile and constantly evaluating new techniques to close the cloud skills gap. This position will support team members spread across the globe, so occasional non-standard work time should be expected. The TPM will need the ability to direct their own and other team member's work, set and re-evaluate priorities and strategy often, comfortable with a great deal of ambiguity, and proactive approach to problem-solving. Many of the projects for this TPM will be a first of their kind, meaning there may be no blueprint for success, relying on a deep collaboration among experts on the project team and a spirit of innovation.
