At Genisys Credit Union, we value our employees who are essential to our ongoing growth and success as a financial institution of choice. We are currently seeking motivated candidates for a Mortgage Processing Assistant Manager to join our Growing Mortgage Team at our Home Office in Auburn Hills.
Position Purpose:
Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Mortgage Processing Role including compliance with relevant state and federal lending laws. \
Job Duties (Include but not limited to):
- Works with the Mortgage Managers and VP of Real Estate Lending to develop weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual production goals that align with the annual Strategic Plan.
- Coaches and mentors Mortgage Processor employees to reach production goals and improve efficiency and process.
- Oversees the training for new processors, and facilitates ongoing training and coaching for existing processors.
- Works with the training team to develop and implement training materials for new & current employees.
- Works with the Production Manager and sales team to develop & implement best practices to improve operational efficiency.
- Provides leadership to personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, and communication. Conducts weekly staff sales and production meetings as well as periodic meetings to inform personnel of policy and procedure changes. Discusses areas needing improvement.
- Executes established “operational” goals and ensures that corporate-wide objectives are complemented and supported.
- Assists and supports personnel as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Thorough knowledge of Credit Union mortgage products and applicable policies and standards.
- Five years related experience and/or training.
- Administrative and supervisory experience.
- Experience with OpenClose origination system helpful
