General Summary:
The School of Nursing invites applications for possible part-time positions teaching nursing courses in the clinical setting. Potential courses include Fundamentals, Maternal-Child Nursing (obstetrics), Child-Parent Nursing (pediatrics), Adult Health Nursing (med-surg), Community Health Nursing, or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing clinical courses.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching may include a number of particular obligations which employees are expected to fulfill, including but not limited to: providing clinical instruction and evaluation to students in a clinical agency, meeting all agency requirements by required by the clinical site, meeting with students during and outside of assigned classes, following syllabus as provided, assessing student work and performance, working with lead faculty to provide optimal learning experiences, and assigning and submitting grades in accordance with established Eastern Michigan University schedules in addition to performing related duties as required by the School.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a Master's degree completed in nursing, along with 2 years clinical practice within the specialty area is required. Prior clinical teaching experience is preferred.
