Rotating Equipment Performance Program Leader
Location: Charlevoix, MI Area
Job Description
The performance program leader is responsible to successfully implement a performance-based contract at one of SKF’s strategic industrial end user customers in the Charlevoix, MI Area. The individual will work onsite at the end user and manage all aspects of the program whose goal is to increase rotating equipment performance at the facility.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead delivery of KPI’s and outcomes based on contractual obligations
- Manage scope, schedule and budget for the performance contract including predictive maintenance, reliability improvements, bearing consumption, lubrication management, resource utilization, program scorecard, etc.
- Build partnership with end user team while identifying opportunities for rotating equipment improvement
- Coordinate activities for the effective use of all SKF resources who are part of the program team.
- Facilitate completion of bearing inspections, RCFA, and remanufacturing processes using best practices
- Coordinate plant rebuild processes & quality with third parties to ensure rebuilds are delivered in precision state
- Drive preparation and execution of operations reviews with the end user; present successes and challenges
- Coordinate with distributor personnel to identify and plan for bearing and component replacements. Discuss bearing and component inventory levels and lead times with SKF Territory Manager and distributor to ensure adequate delivery of spares.
Job Requirements
- Mechanical Engineering or relevant degree/experience preferred
- 3+ years working in the reliability systems environment with at least a Cat II vibration certification, Infrared Thermography, and MLT1 certifications.
- 5+ years of experience working in an industrial continuous process environment
- Proven leader who can build and drive a team to achieve program goals
- Effective communicator who can drive activities/improvements with urgency and high quality
- Ability to collaborate well with cross-functional teams to accomplish multiple assignments and deliverables in a complex environment
- Strong in Microsoft Office 365 applications and other computer tools
