Supervisor Shipping/Receiving
Job Description Summary
Receives, verifies, and processes incoming shipments. Packs and prepares products for shipping. Reviews and records incoming shipments and products; checks the condition of contents and alignment with original order. Routes or moves shipments to the proper departments or storage locations. Ensure all shipping/receiving personnel adhere to company and regulatory policy and procedure.
Job Description
*Supervises shipping/receiving employee outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
*Ensures adherence to inbound and outbound window times.
*Records receipt of raw product by comparing count to bill of lading; Notes receiving discrepancies and supports root cause analysis..
*Supervises the loading/unloading of raw components and finished goods.
*Keeps shipping/receiving equipment operating by following operating instructions and established procedures; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
*Maintains safe, secure, and healthy receiving environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
*Provides shipping/receiving information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
*All other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Education
1. College degree or equivalent training.
2. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
3. High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
4 Good oral and written communication skills.
5. Planning and organizational abilities.
6. High level of analytical ability where problems are complex
