As a Technical Service Representative , you will support painting operations used at an Automotive Tier I customer plant. You will work directly with a team at improving the performance of PPG products and the customer's paint application and quality output! Do you enjoy coordinating systems and processes and initiating problem solving resolutions directly at the customer location? This role optimally connects with all levels, in both the PPG and customer organizations!
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the customer at various levels to ensure quality is meeting customer requirements and expectations and make paint material adjustments as needed.
Coordinate and implement strategies for film build, appearance and color programs.
May be asked to lead projects, assist with process improvements, and look for cost savings for the customer.
Strong digital literacy, analytical abilities, and attention to detail are required to complete reports and manage data.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED, with some college chemistry, general science desired.
5 years in a technical setting, or automotive assembly plant environment, preferably with Waterborne basecoat, Solventborne clearcoat, Powder, and/or Electrocoat technology experience.
Ability to work around Industrial Chemicals, Solvents, Paints, Isocyanates in an Industrial environment and can lift ~50 lbs as needed.
Some weekend overtime is vital occasionally. This position will include working non-standard hours to support customer schedules.
