Summary:
Supervises office support staff to ensure optimal work flows and appropriate staffing. Serves as a liaison between Providers and clinical staff in daily operations.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for charge processing, A/R follow up, cash processing, patient flow, Provider and staff payroll and maintenance of scheduling system and patient medical records. Develop and implement department policies, process improvement initiatives and customer satisfaction initiatives and provide follow up and metrics. Orient and train office support staff and ensure competency. Interacts and communicates in a manner considerate of age, culture and developmental needs. Collaborates well with a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrates a high level of compassion toward the patient population.
Standard Qualifications:
A. Education / Training: High school diploma, GED or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
B. Work Experience: A minimum of (1) year of relevant healthcare experience preferred. (1) year of direct staff supervisory experience required, preferably in a customer-service or healthcare field. Experience utilizing an electronic health record system preferred.
